Most productive day yet. I made tremendous progress on developing my Wix webpage for my upcoming course, The Art of Film. Lots of images of posters and movie stars, expansive lists of noteworthy film every student of film or cineaste should view. I am eager to see the final result come Thursday.
I was impressed with today's presentations. I've yet to be in a group where my partner(s) and I collaborate to produce a digital presentation; if another opportunity presents itself before our course concludes I will take the lead, and with my slim tech knowledge I will try to assemble a poll or Prezi.
The Symbaloo I am designing is all but complete. With a few cosmetic changes (e.g. the color of the tiles, their placement on the grid) it will be done in no time.
My learning continues to evolve.

Continued progress on my Symbaloo (Assignment 3) today. Searching for links to various writing resources is familiarizing me with the wealth of teaching materials available online. I can see this resource being of great value in my tutoring.
Partnered with Aaron on a brief in-class discussion. I can't say that it stimulated or enhanced my learning but Aaron and I make a good pair.
Not much more to report. Onward to Assignment 4.

Perhaps blog posts are best composed at the apex of night, the witching hour, with a vodka martini at one's side and Mary J. Blige on one's iPod (I highly recommend The London Sessions; it's grown folks' music).
Today's class: a perfunctory discussion of an article on smartphone use within the classroom setting; a stimulating discussion of K-12 learners' use/lack of use of keyboards and the instruction of handwriting; tasty lemon squares; an animation website I can't recall the name of at present; Snapit. My knowledge of digital technology continues to increase with each class, and although I am becoming more comfortable when I encounter the host of websites, apps, gadgets, and the like I am learning about in both classroom discussions and in the assigned readings, am I still apprehensive, still longing for an older world, an analogue solution to the problem of twenty-first century tertiary education. Am I alone?

I do, however, need to put in more time on my Wix website, a tool I hope to implement in my film studies course in spring 2016 (thank you, Emily, for all the help!)
As always, I am indebted to my instructor and my peers for supporting my learning and offering me the gift of their voice, knowledge, critiques, humor, and decorum.

Got a lot of useful information from peers today. Inspiration, Socrative, Endnote--it's all a treasure trove that I intend to put to good use in the coming school year. It was also helpful to learn about the various articles everyone located and used for their papers. I knowledge is growing.

Quite a productive day: I gained clarity about upcoming assignments, located more articles for Assignment 1 and familiarized myself with Symbaloo, a resource site that I find quite beneficial. I intend to use Symbaloo to create a collection of websites, videos, blogs, and other resources for student writers. Hopefully this is a tool I can use in tutoring sessions.
The articles I found are full of useful information on technology in the instruction of ESL students. I plan to determine where the authors concur and where they diverge in their opinions of who well foreign-born students respond to the array of technological applications available to them. This, too, should prove valuable to my tutoring praxis.
